Any experience canceling a Las Vegas timeshare purchase contract?
|
Question: I am just back from a Las Vegas trip to San Diego. Last Saturday,
while in Las Vegas, I took a trip to the Grandview timeshare building,
and after a salesman's presentation, I signed a purchase contract with
the developer Eldorado Resorts Corp. Now after some research in the
internet at home, I want to cancel the contract. I have 5 days to do
it after the signing, according to the contract document.
The developer's address (Eldorado Resorts Corp) is in Florida. The
salesman told me the developer belongs to a Fortune 40 company.
Strangely, The developer has no web site, no email address, no
telephone number, no fax number. Just address.
I am going to sign the revocation form and send it by a registered
post mail tomorrow. I have the salesman's phone, but I don't think
calling him is necessary.
Any suggestions?
Answer: Definitely do this. Dot all your i's and cross all your t's. Act as
if you know you are going to court over this. They have to percieve
that it would be easier just to give you the refund.
Have your brother the Federal Judge or your sister the U.S. Senator
send a letter stating how much they appreciate co-operation with this
refund. Know any zoning commisioners? They have to percieve that
destruction will follow if you don't get the refund.
