Timeshare Weeks questions
|
Question: My life has been
pretty hectic the past few months, and unfortunately keeping up with RADP
has been one of the things that has suffered...
But, I have a question:
Has anyone with a non-Disney timeshare ever successfully traded *into* a DVC
resort through Intervals International? I know it's *possible* to do this,
but I'm curious as to the actual chances of doing this.
My parents own a week at a timeshare on Cape Cod, and currently below to RCI
for their exchanging of timeshare weeks to other resorts. But, their
timeshare belongs to both RCI and II, and you can belong to both (as long as
you pay the enrollment fee). My thought was to see if trading would be
possible, and then pay the annual fee in II for my parents so I can use one
of their unused weeks at a DVC resort...
Anyone have any experience?
Answer: Sorry, but that's the busiest time of the year for DVC... the least likely time
all year to get a DVC rental.
You'd have a better chance in the middle of the summer or at a high-crowd time
like Easter week.
But that doesn't mean it would be impossible. I got a guy to rent DVC points
to me at $9 each for an early December villa rental, after I was told by other
owners that I was dreaming.
