A co-worker offered me the use of her timeshare week
|
Question: Okay, I think we are going to go to the NC coast in May. It seems a
reasonable drive for us from CT. I would love to get to Charleston, but it
is way too long to drive it for the time we have this trip, and the cheapest
flights I could find were 0ver $350 each! Remember--this is a little mental
health get away planned a month before we have to pay for the rest of our
Bermuda cruise in August.
We are looking anywhere along the upper coast. Myrtle beach seems a long
drive as much as we would love to see it. My question is--where would be a
good area to stay, where there is something else to do in case of bad
weather and because Dick is not one to sit on the beach all day like I am? I
could spend months on the beach but Dick gets antsy.
A co-worker offered me the use of her timeshare week that they can't use
this year because they are building a new house and have no time--or money
for vacation this year. For $169, we can get a week anywhere in the RCI
catalogue! I think we really are supposed to get away. Someone surely is
looking out for us!
Any suggestions are welcome. I will pick up a AAA tour book this week but
would like to give her an approximate area tommorrw at work so she can start
looking into getting us a place to stay. I am getting real excited!! Thanks
Answer: Sounds delightful. I assume by the NC coast, you mean the outer banks.
Plenty to do there beside sit on the beach. In fact, the water will be very
cold for swimming in May. We spent a summer week in the Kittyhawk area
about 10 years ago and had a wonderful time. We moved south shortly after
that, so we never had the chance to go back
