Timeshare for SALE
|
Question: Hi everyone,
We bought a timeshare in Mexico/PuertoVallarta in 2001. It is great resort
and We have not use it at all, it's paid off too. Now we would like to sell
it . It is hard to find buyer.
Are any ideas how to get rid of it on fear terms? We have listed with few
agencies but it's slow for now. Any ideas will be consider.
thanks in advance
Answer: You are not alone. Many others are in the same situation. The best and easiest
way to sell it and get maximum dollar: Go there and stay in it for a couple of
weeks, and put out a "FOR SALE" sign. As folks who go to the high pressure high
mark-up seminars come around to see what they are like, they will see yours
offered for a fraction the price. Make them a deal. They have most likely come
pretty close to swallowing the hook if they have made it this far; why not? I
know plenty of people who have sold theirs (although none for a profit; most
for a significant loss) this way.
Good luck, and please let me know how it turns out! Have you tried posting/listing the timeshare in the Southern
California area?
Try listing on one of the "for sale" sites online in that area,
such as "Google" or "craigslist.org,"...or even in the newspapers
down there...especially San Diego and Newport Beach (geographically
close, and people w/lots o' money, respectively)...lol
