renting a nice timeshare condo for the week.
|
Question: My family of five will be making our 4th visit to DisneyWorld from
June 22-29, 1996. We are considering renting a nice timeshare condo
for the week. Anyone know of one available in that approximate time
frame,Looking forward to the trip. Totally enjoyed each and every visit there.
Answer: Hi. It's VERY expensive, and there might not be any left, but Disney does have
it's own timeshare resort, called the Disney Vacation Club. But, it does have
the added features of being right on site and the early admission and free
transportation that any other WDW hotel has. We own 2 timeshares (1 in New
Hampshire, the other on Cape Cod), and we tried trading to that one. Alas, we
didn't get it. It took them about 2-3 weeks to find us a place down there (we
orginally asked for the trade in early February), we got a nice place (a little
cheezy, but nice) about 1.5 miles from the main entrance to the Magic Kingdom
road. My suggestion: WORK ON GETTING A PLACE NOW wo years ago I stayed at a great timeshare condo in Lake Buena Vista, called
Vistana..its so close to WDW....i dont know if you know the area but itright
down the road from the Crossroads shopping Plaza that is just outside of the
entrance to the Disney Village Hotel Plaza. SO its a five minute drive from
Pleasure Island, the Village Marketplace and Typhoon Lagoon and another minute
to
Epcot and MGM and a few more minutes to the MK....we loved it the place was
nice and spacious w/ 2 bedrooms and a liv room w/ couch. so you could probably
easily sleep 5.
I dont own in Vistana but a friend of my father's does that's why we stayed
tshe wasnt using her timeshare that year, but i think the price was $30,000 for
2 weeks a year if you're interested
