Question: Friends sold their timeshare in Banff (Rocky Mountain Resort) so we
can't rent theirs anymore.
Anyone have a week in the same resort (preferably) or in Canmore they're
not using this summer? Or a bonus week?
Looking for around $500 for a week - somewhat flexible for which week,
but looking at late July or early August.
Answer: Would that actually apply to a timeshare owner? I wouldn't think so.
I do remember reading about that by-law...I think they were worried
about having a town full of landlords and no one (well, hardly anyone)
actually LIVING there. Just owning a place or two and renting it/them
out all the time. So that would certainly apply to an owner of a house,
or maybe a condo, but I highly doubt that it would apply to a timeshare
owner. If I'm wrong, then too bad for me!
Also, my (strong) preference was for Banff anyway, and I hadn't heard of
anything like that there.
I guess it doesn't hurt to be paranoid, at least a little, but it
doesn't quite work in this case.
