Orlando Timeshare Promotion from Travel Opportunities company

Question:

I'm looking for a timeshare and heard about the company call Travel Opportunities in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida . We got a letter from them about the cruise promotion, The promotion is for $258 plus $129 port charge, you get a 4 days 3 nights cruise from Miami to Bahamas, 4 days and 3 nights accomodations in Ft. Lauderdale, and 3 days and 2 nights accomodations in Magical Orlando, Florida. Of course, we have to pay for the air fare. This sounds like a very good deal, but I don't know if this company is legitimate. Anybody has experience with this company? Or how I can check this company? I tried to call the Better Business Bureau at Ft. Lauderdale, but I got the busy signal everytime I dialed. Thanks.

Answer:

I got the same material and since I own a travel agency I knew it was too good to be true. After calling several professional organizations I decided to tell all my clients to be very wary since no professional orgs had ever heard of this group and they all said "if it seems too cheap to be true it is not true"
After looking into a few of these type of vacation certificate offerings, we decided to not provide them to our clients. When checking out a particular opportunity, make sure you understand exactly when you can sail. Like a set number of really cheap seats on an airlines flight, you may find that "capacity control" limits your access to sailing dates that you find desirable.
