WDW timeshare and Interval
|
Question: My sister is requesting a WDW timeshare through Interval for October.
Anyone have any idea on the likelyhood of her getting one?
Thanks in advance-
Answer: In my experience next to none. I have a timeshare that I have been trading
through Interval and have never gotten a requested Disney Timeshare. We have
now decided to buy one instead. If she owns a premium 5 Star resort during primetime (like a
peak holiday week) in a high demand location (winter ski in/out,
beachfront Hawaii, etc.), then her chances are better but still tough.
If she does not onw one of those peak prime weeks, suggest that she
rent a car and try one of the other great properties in the area.
There are quite a few. Any of the 5 Marriotts are terrific! If she
wants easy access to the 7 restaurants and wonderful pools at Marriott
World Center, the 3 Marriott resorts whose names end with "Palms" offer
access. If she golfs, Marriott Grande Vista is gorgeous. If she'll
have kids, Marriott Cypress Harbour is *very* family-friendly with lots
of kids facilities and activities.
Isle of Bali also lovely and very family friendly, even has a tropical
mini-water park onsite. More for adults (IMHO), Westgate Lakes looks
pretty and is better located for Universal visits. Those are my picks
for offsite through II. Hope she is happy with her match!
