About Timeshare in Hyatt Caribe.

Question: My husband and I are taking an Apple Tour to Cancun and
staying at the Hyatt Caribe. We will be there for a
week in mid-Dec.
I'd appreciate hearing comments from anyone's who's
stayed there along with suggestions re dining.
I was in Cancun a long time ago and remember a lot of high
pressure timeshare salespeople all over the place. I
wonder if its still that way. I was also wondering if
those drug store have shown up in Cancun like they have in
other parts of Mexico.
Answer: My husband and I stayed at the Hyatt Cancun Caribe in
March of 95. We loved it there. We stayed in a Regency
Club Villa room, which was extremely spacious and had steps
right from our room to the beach. Actually, I don't
think I've ever stayed in a bad Hyatt. The Cancun Caribe
is pretty much walking distance to several shopping/dining
areas in the Hotel Zone. Our favorite restaurants are in
the town of Cancun,however - La Habichuela and El Pescador.
You'll have to take a taxi or bus to get there. There's
a very nice Italian restaurant across from the Hard
Rock Cafe, but I forget its name.
