Has anyone responded to: "Resales"-DVC with Park Passes?

Question:

Has anyone e-mailed tmshrsal@magicn regarding his/her weekly post? I wonder what price the DVC points are going for? I'm not a DVC'er, but understand the basics of how it works. Isn't Disney supposed to have the first right to buy back any points/membership you want to sell? Are DVC memberships readily available at timeshare resale shops or are they rare? If common, how much do the points sell for at resale?

Answer:

I received information about the resales. They basically e-mail you a list of resales they have available(about 18 in all). They range in price from $9,000 to $72,000. They tell you up front that all resales have to be approved by Disney so even if they accept your deal, Disney has 30 days to accept or reject the offered price. They tell you in the e-mail that Disney will not let anyone steal one. There deals are real similar to what you get from Disney except you get park passes on most up until 1999. E-mail and get the information you have nothing to lose in doing that. The name of the company behind the post is Williamsburg Realty Inc., Timeshare Resale Division. Hope this helps some.
