DON'T DO TIMESHARE WITH BLUE GREEN?
|
Question: Does anyone have expriences about used time share with blue green ?
Need advices .Thank
Answer: My wife bought a time share with RDI a few years back, it was supposed to be
worth $18,000 but the salesman Richard "The Liar" Palmer said he could give it
to us for 9,000
We didn't want it and wanted to leave, he kept talking and to be polite we
stayed, he said it was a "Good Investment" we still didn't want it, then when
we were going to leave again, suddenly they had a "Buy back" (Time Shares will
always have the Buy Back for sale if you are not a big enough sucker to pay
full price) available for $3,000. Only $80 per month.
We still didn't want it because you never know about your financial future and
I told Richard "The Liar" Palmer that if someday we couldn't pay for it we
wouldn't want it to go on our Credit.
Richard "The Liar" Palmer smiled and said "It could never go on your credit,
if you don't want it any more we just take it back" (he seemed like such a nice
man) "It will never affect your credit"
Well, we ended up giving them over $1000 (I think closer to $2,000 but I am
being conservative) for a $3,000 time share that was supposed to be worth $18,000.
We tried to give it back because we never stayed there once, and the only
place we could find to sell it for us wanted $750 up front.
Everyone we talked to at RDI said they don't take them back, and that we were
stuck with it and we either had to sell it or pay it off.
Someone we talked to on the phone at the time share itself named Kelly said we
could quit claim it back to them for $69, so we sent them they money, but they
never took it back. She was the only one who was ever nice to us, but we could
never get hold of her again.
When ever we mentioned Richard "The Liar" Palmer's name of course they said he
no longer worked there because he had pulled some shady deals (duh)
Then they started having bill collectors call us at all hours, one named Fred
Hansen would call and we would have huge arguments. On nights after those
arguments my phone would ring at 2am, and all I would hear was breathing. I
would say "I know it's you Fred" but he would never answer.
Some where along the line BLUEGREEN bought out RDI, or maybe they just changed
their name because of their awful reputation, I don't know.
But now blue green is suing my wife for $6000, for a time share that was
supposed to cost $3000, and we paid around half on, and never stayed in once.
IF IT IS SUCH A GREAT TIMESHARE WORTH $18,000 COULDN'T THEY JUST SELL IT TO
SOMEONE ELSE, AND GET WHAT WE OWE THEM PLUS A COUPLE OF THOUSAND DOLLARS
PROFIT.
How can a lying salesman just sit there smiling saying "This will never go on
your credit we just take them back" get his commission, get away with it and
completely screw up someone else's life?
We have had huge custody battles with my x wife the past 3 years. We know have
custody of my daughter because the judge, the family relations worker, and the
child's lawyer all decided that she needed to get out of the house she was
living in. But we have maxxed out all our credit cards in doing so, we are on
the verge of bankruptcy, and now this time share thing pops up out of our past.
