DVC is the "best timeshare in the world ?

Question: It's interesting that on my Timeshare User Group (TUG) boards there
are alsways ongoing discussions of the positives and negatives of
owning at Disney. Disney owners are almost religious in their defense
of DVC which is the "best timeshare in the world.
It's interesting to hear how disappointed some outsiders have been.
Any ideas ?
Answer: The problem is that in your user group you're probably comparing DVC
to other timeshares, without placing adequate value on the on-site
advantage -- comparing apples to oranges. Very few people spend much
time or effort trying to convince anyone that DVC is the "best
timeshare in the world." It's just not what DVC is all about. Rather
DVC is about staying at a Disney resort. If you're going to stay at a
Disney resort anyway, THAT'S when the issue of whether DVC is a good
deal or not matters.
